Queen James Version

The Newest Translation

Just before the death of the great comedian W. C. Fields, a friend came to visit him in the hospital.  When he got there the friend was surprised to find W. C thumbing through a Bible. When asked what he was doing, Fields replied “I’m looking for loopholes.”

Well, for the past twenty-five years or so, religious homosexuals have been looking for loopholes in the Holy Scriptures when it comes to their own condemned lifestyle.  Finding none, they have decided to do the next best thing and come up with their own translation.  It is called the Queen James Version or QJV for short.  The Bible is an exact word-for-word translation of the 1611 King James Version with the exception of the nine verses in which God pronounces judgment on their illicit practice.  These scriptures (Genesis 19:5, Leviticus 18:22, Leviticus 20:13, Romans 1:26, Romans 1:27, I Corinthians 6:9, I Corinthians 6:10, I Timothy 1:10, Jude 1:7) have been re-written to read that the sin here is not gayness or lesbianism, but rather a lack of love within those relationships.  The QJV is for sale on the internet at a price of $29.95 each.  It has a white cover with a rainbow-coloured cross on the front.

The bottom line?  The translation editors are very open that what God has said about homosexuality is not really what He meant about homosexuality.  Haven’t we heard this same spin elsewhere?  Oh, yes, Genesis 3:1, And the serpent said, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not…
