Protecting the Unborn

When Mary was pregnant, her five-year-old, Billy, was utterly amazed and a little bit disbelieving that his sister was growing in his mom’s tummy. So one day when the baby was especially active, she asked Billy to place his tiny hands on her tummy to feel the baby kick.  But when he did, the baby was suddenly still. “Oh, Billy, she must have decided to take a nap,” shrugged his mother.  “A nap?”  Billy marvelled. “You mean there’s a bed in there, too!”

There is probably no modern American President who has taken a stronger stand in protecting the life of the unborn than that of Donald Trump (which is surprising as early in his life he was very pro-abortion).  So what was it that changed “The Donald” from pro-choice to pro-life?  In an interview, he shared the following:

Once there was a couple that I knew very, very well -  the one was a strong pro-lifer and the other was a strong pro-choicer.  Suddenly the woman got pregnant and oh, the arguing that went on between them.  I won’t say who was whom, but one immediately wanted to abort and the other was just as adamant it be born.  Anyway, they had the baby and that infant has turned out to be such a magnificent person, one who has and is helping so many in life (everyone would know the individual’s name if I was to give it out).  And amazingly, it turned the pro-choice parent into a pro-life person.  And it changed me as well.
When Barak Obama became President of the United States in 2009, the first executive order he issued was that American foreign aid to developing countries must include the right of any third-world woman to have access to U.S. dollars to cover the cost of an abortion – whoever, whenever, wherever, whatever.  But when Donald Trump became President of the United States in 2017, the first executive order he issued was that American foreign aid to developing countries must not include the right of any third-world woman to have access to U.S. dollars to cover the cost of an abortion – totally reversing his predecessor’s top priority.  Feminists around the world were livid with the new policy and took to the streets, marching in protest.

However these women have found a new hero for their cause – our very own Justin Trudeau.  At a She Decides conference as part of International Woman’s Day, the Prime Minister pledged that Canada will take the lead in making up for the loss of U.S. dollars to fund abortions with a pledge in the next liberal budget of $680,000,000, i.e., well over half-a-billion of our tax money to go towards killing babies in the womb.  (And Trudeau will get his way as the liberals have a solid parliamentary majority, plus, as was made clear by the leader in the last election – anti-abortionists will not be allowed to run as liberal candidates and if any are chosen by their local riding he will use his party authority to appoint a pro-abortionist in their place). Also, the Prime Minister had his cabinet officials meet with their European counterparts to discuss ways of fund-raising to further fatten the abortion pot.

Canada has taken great pride in the fact, that unlike America, all who need help will find a warm welcome in our country.  That is, except the most helpless of all, for here there’s no room for those in the womb.
